The Office of Management and Enterprise Services, Department of Capital Assets Management Division is seeking an experienced Property Insurance Adjuster for our Risk Management Department in Oklahoma City. This is a full time, unclassified position in State Government and will be eligible for a generous total rewards package. This position will provide field assistance to Commercial Insurance Program participants as needed regarding property loss assessment, claim management, risk assessment and identification, loss prevention and loss control, and other duties as needed in the administration of the Risk Management Property Insurance Program.
This position will:
Respond to losses for the purpose of assessing and mitigating damage to buildings and/or contents and facilitate determination of a scope of repairs/replacement to State owned property.
When a claim results from a covered peril, the person in this position will process the claim and coordinate final resolution with program participants in accordance with Risk Management Rules and Commercial Insurance Policies.
Instruct and assist program participants in all aspects of best practices for protecting State property through:
1. Property valuation
2. Risk Surveys
3. Loss prevention and loss control
4. Claim managent
PREFERRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each principal activity satisfactorily.
Education and Experience: Bachelor Degree in construction engineering, Fire Protection Engineering and Safety Technology, or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
The ideal candidate should have 5 to 10 years experience in adjusting claims covered under a commercial property insurance program or equivalent experience in a related job field. Current adjuster’s license preferred.
